Wondering what George Clooney did for the new year? He welcomed 2007 at home in front of the TV – or at least that’s what he told Jay Leno.

This past Tuesday, Clooney told Leno, “I watched The Wizard of Oz – a big tradition at my house,” and added that it was the special edition of the film with Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon as the soundtrack.

When asked about Christmas George said that it was he kept the same theme, “I didn’t do anything,” he told Leno. “I went down south with a couple of my friends because we said, ‘We’re sick of Christmas.’”

George Clooney’s old friend Max (the pig) had died over the weekend. George got Mar over 18 years ago after breaking up with this girlfriend (then) Kelly Preston. According to Clooney "He was as old a pig as the vets had ever seen. I was really surprised, because he’s been a big part of my life."

The pig had gained popularity and made it into many of the interviewes conducted in Cooleny’s Hollywood Hills house as interviewers would often need to hop over the chunky pal. In fact Max had made it so far that tabloids even bothered to announce him dead a few years back even though he wasn’t.

"It has been a bad year for my pets," Clooney says. "I had a bulldog that died this year, too. It’s strange how animals become a big part of your family. They really become a big issue with you."

Will he get another pig? "No," he says. "I think Max covered all my pig needs."

"BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - For George Clooney, the awards just keep on comin’. In a year where he’s already received an Oscar and a Golden Globe, the actor-director-producer has just collected another trophy: the 2006 American Cinematheque Award.

"Basically, what it is, really, is a bunch of your friends who are gonna roast the hell out of you," Clooney told AP Television before the Friday night event. "But when it’s done, you’re raising money to help American Cinematheque, which actually does some great things."

George Clooney’s co-star in “Ocean’s Thirteen”, Actress Ellen Barkin had a little surpsire to the guests at a recent tribute to George Clooney. She had decided to dish the dirt, saying: “Yes, I have fucked [bleep] George Clooney.” and added “I’m very proud of it actually. If you don’t have chemistry with George Clooney, you need to check your pulse.”

In an attempt to do some damage control, her publicist had commented on this claim, saying that Barkin “was just goofing around. It was a roast. She was being funny.”

George Clooney helped Armani give younger designers a run for their money Thursday by attending Armani’s show at Milan Fashion week. Armani’s show, exuding effortless cool and sexiness, proved to be the top spot for celebrity sightings.

On his relationship with the designer Clooney said: “He’s been a good friend of mine for a long time and I love his clothes, he was at my house last week having lunch…I like his clothes, they fit very well so…”

On attending the fashion show: “It’s beautiful. I’ve only been to one of his shows before, I haven’t really been to menswear shows often,”

And on the clothes in general: “I usually can’t wear clothes like that because they are made for men in their 20s, and you’ve got to understand that when you’re ageing, suits become more important.”

Armani had a chance to comment about Clooney, saying “Being sexy as a man is not about being muscular. It’s the way he looks at you, the way he moves … his way of dressing,”

Sometimes, when you want to get some and no one is around, people tend to call ex’s for a quick one. Looks like it is the same for George as well…

He was spotted riding his motorcycle late last week with 35-year-old ex-girlfriend Krista Allen riding in the backseat. The helmet-wearing pair enjoyed their sun-filled day while riding through the small town of Laglio, which has a population of less than 1,000.

They were spotted dining late into the evening with friends at the swanky Villa D’Este resort and went on a sunset boat ride around Lake Como the next day. She then spent the night at Clooney’s and left only the next day…

George Clooney had recently came out and urged more Democrats to speak out against the war and ‘congratulated’ himself for doing so.

These opinions are now being criticized by agent-turned-documentary maker Pat Dollard has attacked George Clooney’s outspoken anti-war stance. Dollard is currently working on a pro-war documentary about the Marines in Iraq.
